German wholesalers, DIY chains and stove retailers are buying earlier this season. Germany was among the EU countries furthest behind with gas storage during the 2026 summer refill, and wholesale gas prices reached their highest level since 2022. Millions of German homes have a wood stove (Kaminofen) as main or back-up heating, so firewood demand rises as soon as the cold arrives.

Moisture rules for stoves in Germany
Under the 1. BImSchV, firewood burned in small combustion plants such as stoves must have a moisture content below 25% of its dry mass. Many retailers ask for a lower figure. State the moisture limit in your enquiry: the quotation confirms the specification for the lot, backed by its laboratory test report.
Ports and transport
We ship from Egypt to Hamburg and Bremerhaven, or to Rotterdam and Antwerp for onward delivery by truck or barge into Germany. Containers can be loaded with mixed products, for example firewood with shisha charcoal, to fit one order.
Documents with every shipment
Each shipment is accompanied by shipping documents, health certificates and a laboratory test report identifying the nature of the product. A phytosanitary certificate and any other destination-specific documents are agreed in the supply contract.

- Tell us the moisture, size and labelling requirements of your customers.
- Choose FOB, CFR or CIF. Price, specification and shipping schedule are confirmed in a written quotation for each order.
