View specificationsEgyptian heating firewood, shisha and BBQ charcoal via Rotterdam for Dutch importers and Benelux distributors: packs, documents and EUDR.
The Netherlands entered the 2026–27 heating season with some of the lowest gas storage levels in the EU, after a slow summer refill. Dutch importers also supply Germany and Belgium through Rotterdam, so a single container booking can serve several markets.
Firewood is a regulated plant product. The phytosanitary certificate and any additional declarations required by the Dutch plant-health authority (NVWA) are agreed in the supply contract, together with the documents your customs agent needs.
Mixed containers, private label and pallet patterns can be agreed so that goods move straight from Rotterdam to your customers in the Netherlands, Belgium or Germany.
Each shipment is accompanied by shipping documents, health certificates and a laboratory test report identifying the nature of the product. A phytosanitary certificate and any other destination-specific documents are agreed in the supply contract.
From 30 December 2026 the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) covers fuel wood and charcoal for large and medium-sized operators. Ask us for the origin and traceability information your due-diligence statement needs, and read our EU import guide for charcoal and firewood.
